A Couple of Odds and Ends

Many of you are probably aware that I am currently writing in two different places. I write here on WordPress, of course, and recently I created another writing account on Substack, Ramblings and Rumblings. Those of you who recognize that title have been with me for quite a while. I’ve been trying to figure out which direction I want to take these separate enterprises, and I have finally come to a decision. I am going to devote this account, kevinlarose.net, to my personal life journey. This will mean spiritual musings (as you have already recently seen), personal happenings and other deep thoughts. I’m going to use the R&R for musings on current events, politics, ranting and raving about same. I think this will solve the problem some have with not wanting to see posts of a political nature. This arrangement is, of course, as with many other things, subject to change.

You also may have noticed that my Beyond Words postings have slowed down a bit. When I started the project of posting reflections to the daily devotionals in Buechner’s book, I had in mind to post a reflection a day. Buechner has seen to it that this isn’t possible. I’m finding that I have to sit with many of these devotionals longer than I anticipated I would. so, rather than putting pressure on myself, I’ve decided to just do the devotionals as I write them, even if there are gaps of days in between. And this will also mean that I’ll have more time to reflect and may even have better things to say. Time will tell.
